There’s this thing about gear made for computer based music making… to us, so much of it seems disposable.
Not just the plastic materials, but somehow controllers can feel outdated after a few years. While i've gone through half a dozen midi contollers over the last 10 years i still have the same old guitar and bass i’ve had since i was in my teens. Something about their classic designs, wood and metal, and simplicty make them live forever.
We wanted to make a midi keyboard like that, the center of most modern producer's studios and on stage the only thing that sits between you and the audience.
